Indirectly, yes.: The medications you're taking can cause dry mouth, which can in turn result in higher tooth decay and gum disease among other things. Medication and decay: All of these drugs cause dry mouth. This dry mouth leads to increased risk for cavities. Therefore you must increase your homecare, unfortunately the reason for the medication can result in less homecare and an increase desire for carbohydrates. They can also induce grinding, if you have periodontal disease they can lead to mobile teeth.
