After the removal of a stage 0 melanoma on face, the stitches were removed. the wound opened up and is opening up more. i don't want a bad scar. what should i do?

Good news is...: The god news is it was a localized melanoma, removed, and you are home free now. Suggest seeing your doctor (derm or facial plastics) back very soon before more granulation tissue sets in. T.

Return for follow up: Return to your treating surgeon for evaluation of the wound. If there are no signs of infection, he may be able to reinforce the closure with steri-strips to minimize further spread. He can advise you how to get the optimal scar.

Infection?: Is there evidence of an infection? Wounds that are infected tend to open up. I would treat this if the case. Also keep the would out of the sunlight as it is healing as sun damage will worsen your scare.
