I am 23 yo. f, and i am a registered nurse. i just had a melanoma removed, and have a large incision on my leg with stitches. i have had them now for about 5 days, but i am on my feet all day at work. when would you say i should return to work?

I would discuss with your surgeon and ask that Dr who knows you, how deep was the cut and what he has experienced in others like you.

Talk to your supervisor about the feasibility of light duty and/or working half a day to test your strength and pain, if any. Most employers would make a reasonable accommodation. Wish you good health!
