Are you allergic....: To pcn? Generally Augmentin (amoxicillin and clavulanate) is a better choice. If u r having acute sinusitis (& chronic) then prolonged antibiotic treatment w/ steroids is recommended (augmentin, clinda, or avelox). European guidelines include macrolides as an option. For crs w/ np & obstruction oral steroids are recommended, w/o obstruction topical steroids. W/o symptoms of acute infection, antibiotic benefit is unproven.
