Consciousness level: For severe head trauma, the concern is a delayed bleeding in the space between the bone and the brain envelopes. It usually happens within 24 h. The first symptom would be lethargy leading to loss of consciousness. It is good to observe the patient for 24 hours, waking them up every couple of hours at night.
