Relatively: I certainly would not say it is dangerous to fly with a sprained ankle. However, if it is a bad sprain, being up for several hours on it in the airport and airplane may lead to more swelling and pain than if you were able to stay off it, elevate it, and ice it. Fly with sprain: Flying with sprain is safe but. Be aware you are likely to get more swelling and possible dvt. Make sure to have compression bandage on it!

Yes: It is safe to fly but you may notice that your ankle is more inflamed, swollen and stiff after your flight as you won't be able to elevate your legs during the flight. If you are in Business or First Class, this should not be a problem
