Yes: Genetic counselors are highly trained to examine risk factors, assess your family history, & counsel you as to whether these findings have an inherited component. If positive, they would determine if there were a good chance you mighty pass them on to a future son or daughter to come. Even if you don't have plans for children at present, but wonder about your genetic past, a geneticist is great.
