Irregular menses: Processes like infection which stress your immune system may also affect hormonal balances and result in missed menstrual periods. There may be other factors involved, but the way to explore these is not thru questions on the internet, but by seeing a doctor and having your issues effectively evaluated. Hope thing work out well, and good luck with the resolution of infection.

Wait a bit: Infection, surgery and stresses can upset the hormonal system. Generally recovers with correction of the issue and time. By 3 cycles would expect return to one's usual normal pattern.

Maybe stress: Menstural cycles can be altered by stress to the body. See your gynecologist if it doesn't sort itself out once your healed. Best of luck.
