What you describe: Would not be normal. Would not be normal to have an abscess and intestinal fistula leaking at the umbilical region. See your surgeon for a correction of this issue.

Intestinal Fistula: Sorry to hear about your misfortune. What you are describing is called a fistula which is basically a connection from your intestine to the skin (in this case your belly button). Although this is definitely not normal, it is a complication that is seen with intestinal surgeries. You should be closely followed by your surgeon as your condition can quickly worsen if not monitored closely.

Get evaluated: Hopefully you are in a healthcare facility and under care of a surgeon. If not, please go in. Feces draining from navel requires inpatient care. Once treated and stabilized, you may need additional surgery (ostomy), nutrition support, medical therapies. Overall, this complication is treatable but not normal.
