HIV Prevention: Post exposure prophylaxis must be started wtihin 72 hours after an exposure. Any HIV test done this soon is a waste of time and money and worry. The quickest test to determine infection must be around day 21 after exposure. If it is within 72 hours still please page your doctor on call and get protected.
