What causes my foot to go numb, (pins & needles), when i jog, and what could i do to prevent this?

Numbness: Unilateral foot numbness noticed when walking could be due to a plantar nerve problem. Other possibilities are sciatic nerve, tarsal tunnel syndrome, less likely radiculopathy (pinched nerve). Tight footwear way also cause problems. Avoid too tight shows and check with your doctor to see if there is any other possibilities.

Start simple: Start simple and check whether a shoe could be compressing one of the nerves in your foot. (i get this from my biking shoes.) a blood flow problem to the foot would be much less likely than a nerve compression. Pinched nerves in the back usually don't affect just the foot and are more painful.
