It could have been: But it's really impossible to be certain one way or the other. The more important thing to address is the itp itself. You should work with your dr to address the cause and optimize your PLT count. When you decide to get pregnant, a hematologist should consult on your case and follow along during the pregnancy and delivery. Depending on the itp, your child could also be at risk b4 & after delivery.
