Yes it can: Nodule can be benign, but keep monitoring tft, and watch for symptoms.

Nodule: A single rapidly growing thyroid nodule is concerning regardless of thyroid function. If it has doubled in size in a short time or measures over 1 cm it necessitates a biosy to rule out malignancy.
