My 11 day old has mrsa in the eyes and is being treated...could this lead to blindness?

Usually not: This not frequent problem in infant, if treated correctly should heal in about one week.

MRSA eye infection: Unless the cornea or the whole globe is infected, your baby should not develop blindness. It also follows that the appropriate antibiotic should be used to stop the infection to prevent more complications. This is the instance where extreme hand washing observance is of utmost importance.
