More complicated....: Over the counter Chloramphenicol is not specifically contraindicated for persons taking oral Prednisone for crohn's disease. However, without an ophthalmic consultation, one cannot be certain that you have simple conjunctivitis. This could be iritis associated with the crohn's disease. So a few days of the Chloramphenicol won't be harmful, but if it is not working, visit your ophthalmologist..

No: With the eye drops, there is minimal absorption of the antibiotic, and the two medications are compatible anyways.
