Heart disease: She should wear support hose to help the swelling. Her doctor can evaluate whether a problem exists.

Neuropathy possible: First of all, i hope your mom is being evaluated for swelling. Feet swelling can be caused by many conditions such as standing, as well as a high salt diet. The ibruprofen, is an anti-inflammatory drug & a commonly causes swelling. Second, she must be evaluated for high blood pressure & heart failure. Fiinally, the pain in the feet could be a neuropathy. Ask her physician if Gabapentin is a option.
