A member asked:

Ihave a primary hypothalamic amenorrhea i want to ask is it curable ?can i be pregnant?iam too depressed iam 29 years old?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It may be corrected-: An endocrinologist would be the best person to consult on this, but as i recall when an illness or condition results from failure of the hypothalamus to put out enough hormone, an external source of hormone is utilized. Similar to when a diabetic takes insulin. Some people stop growing until they are given growth hormone. Correcting the deficiency could correct amenorrhea, infertility & depression.
