A member asked:

What does it mean when a pathologists interoperation of certain bllod work say's high beta's ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Betas?: If it is "high beta globulins" on a serum protein electrophoresis, this means nothing in the absence of a meaningful history and physical exam. If it is "beta lipoprotein", this is an old name on the old lipid profile for LDL / low density lipoprotein / bad cholesterol.
