Not sure why: Your sacrum and ilium region contains the nerves to your buttocks. It is true that the sciatic nerve travels down this area. You are describing sciatica which can be from many causes and you need to discuss this with your family doctor and go over the test results of your two mris which you did not say were of what body part. You need an MRI of the lumbosacral spine.

SIJ Hypermobility: Low back & sciatica pain can refer from a loosened & hypermobile sacroiliac joint (sij). Diagnosis of this problem is intricate & there are no imaging studies to aid in diagnosis. Mri's are only able to rule out other problems, but not able to rule this one in (per world medical literature).
