Usually, yes....: But results can vary depending on the chronicity and extent of the injury. A fracture on one side shouldn't give you symptoms to both legs, so a concurrent disc injury would be a concern. You can have periosteal reaction up to 2 years after a fracture (think shin pain after walking into the coffee table), and a tens unit often helps if used for 20 minutes, 3 times a day.

Maybe: I am not as enthusiastic about the value of tens as some doctors. Medicare has also been equally unimpressed and no longer covers this modality for most pain issues.
