Tylenol/Ibuprofen: Solely to treat fever acetaminophen/tylenol is probably the safest at dose of less than 3 grams per day. Alternative is Ibuprofen 400 mg. Per dose. Aspirin has more potential side effects and especially should not be used for chicken pox or influenza. Treating the fever does nothing for the underlying illness which would need to be evaluated by a doctor.
