Toothache tx...: You need to see the dentist ASAP - there is no substitute for this. In the interim, use of an NSAID to alleviate pain and inflammation - something like Ibuprofen or naproxyn. But these are only temporizing measures. A visit to the dentist is mandatory to deal with the source of the pain.

Infection: Appears you have an infection.. the numbness may be caused by pressure being placed on the nerves in that region. You need to see a dentist immediately for care. No medication will solve your problem.
