Dental caries: It is advisable not give your child milk before he goes to bed the milk sugars can cause dental caries. The simplest way to get him off the bottle is to cut the nipple and show him the bottle is broken it will take a couple of days and you will be home free.

No milk at bedtime: A full tummy at bed time does not make kids sleep better and if anything teaches them to want to eat again before going back to sleep if they wake. If they are bottle huggers, and use it for comfort, put only water in it from now on. You will quit eroding his teeth and might avoid a set of caps.As he tires of the boring water, he will toss it in favor of the good stuff in the cup.
