Range of normal: For small bowel transit is 15 minutes to 5 hours. So, your small bowel transit time (the time it took for the swallowed barium to reach the colon) was in the range of normal.

There is a wide: range of normal, and they were preparing you for the worst case scenario. 35 minutes is not abnormal.
