A member asked:

Does milk of magnesium give u diarrhea? does it work for severe constipation

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Let's define problem: Doctors define constipation as stools less frequently than once every 3-4 days. Patients feel they are "constipated" when passing hard or small volume stool, or they feel full & bloated. Can't tell here if you're not blocked or if your gut is sluggish or your rectum works correctly. Yes, magnesium is a laxative but regardless of your response to it, you still need answers. See a GI specialist pls.
