A member asked:

A person is havig lucoderma.so should he take injections twice a weak of vitamin b12 as it is insuffecient in his body? .he is a vegetarian.male 21 yr

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Whoa: Something is wrong here. All vegetarians need to supplement with vitamin B12, but it's best done orally unless you cannot absorb the stuff that way. B12 shots twice a week is overkill; once a month is probably fine. Leukoderma is often vitiligo, or sometimes tinea versicolor or something else; a proper diagnosis needs to be made. And vitiligo can run with pernicious anemia. Needs to be sorted out.
