Yes: You could have kidney infection with no growth in urine culture if culture was done on antibiotics, the infection is atypical one (mycoplasma, ureaplasma, or chlamydia), or the infection came to kidney from blood (not ascending from urine). May benefit from ultrasound. It can show significant kidney infection and stones.
