It is reassuring that the cultures are negative, as that suggests it is not a big urinary infection. But other things can cause symptoms that feel like kidneys. One is an irritation of the bladder called interstitial cystitis that can be a low-grade infection. Cystoscopy is needed to look for that cause. Other diseases can cause similar symptoms, as can vaginal infections. History and exam needed

I agree with Dr. Blackwelder. You use the lay term kidney infection which is same as upper urinary tract infection but I assume you meant a bladder infection or lower urinary tract infection. Have you been treated many times in the past for the same symptoms? We can give you a better advice if you can post the urinalysis result as well as your past medical history.

The diagnosis should be made by an MD. One treats a patient and not lab results. If you had signs and symptoms your Md would have treated you. You can only become 'septic, if you are sick with fever, chills and other symptoms and they go untreated. If you dont have these you will be fine. Drink water- it helps prevent 'kidney' infections. Mostly if you are not sick don't worry
