Probably not: It probably won't help but it probably won't hurt either. Avoid sun and tobacco . Silicon based products may provide better improvements.

Scar Treatment: Scar creams like Mederma are intended to be used on new scars that are still undergoing the maturation process. They will have little effect on old scars.

Scar Away works !: I am not impressed with Mederma for scar improvement. I recommend Scar Away and other Silicone based scar treatments. They work by creating a hydrostatic charge at the top of the skin to help align fibroblasts and collagen . We use them in plastic surgery and they are available over the counter. they have the best chance to help your concern.
