Myelodysplasia: Cmml refers to chronic myelomonocytic leukemia. It is classified by the world health organization in the category of myelodysplastic/ myeloproliferative neoplasms. In cmml the bone marrow is not functioning in a completely normal fashion. Part of this diagnosis includes that there is an increase in the number of circulating white blood cells called monocytes.
