A member asked:

What is oligomonocytic cmml and how is it diagnosed?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

According to my reading the oligo prefix refers to a chronic monomyelomonocytic leukemia which ,on bone marrow biopsy, shows less.monocytes than regular chronic myelomonocytic leukemia does. It is often listed in the category of myelodysplastic syndrome but many hematologists regard it as a subtype of CMML. I'm not qualified to comment on treatment.
