Allergy: Allergy to something specific is not inherited directly. You inherit the ability or likelihood of being allergic, and then develop allergy to specific things based on your exposures and environmental circumstances. Gluten can also cause an inflammatory condition in the intestine called gluten sensitive enteropathy or celiac disease, but this is not an allergy.
