Wimpy virus: Very short. It can travel on shared needles, but ordinary household contacts of HIV positive people, even with huge loads, don't get infected.

Exceptionally short. But what difference. Virus spreads from shared bodily fluids (blood/semen/vavinal fluids), not from surface contact
