Gums and implants: Usually if kept clean the tissues around implants stay healthy but you must brush and floss the areas constantly veneers if not buried under the gums should pose no problems but everyone reacts differently to the same irritant implants usually hold up better than teeth to breakdown.

Veneers & Implants: If done well and kept clean the gums can do very well around veneers and implants for many years. Implants do not decay or get a cavity, veneers can get cavities if not kept clean around the gums or margins of the veneer. Implants can get peri-implantitis, which is periodontal disease for implants and bone loss around the implant. So keep them very clean.

If done right ...: If done properly they will act just like regular teeth. A veneer or restoration that has an open margin (not flushed with the tooth) or an overhang ( a step) will be a constant irritant and will cause inflammation chronically; however a properly done veneer or implant will be no different than normal teeth and should be taken care of very much the same bu brushing and flossing.

It varies...: There are several variables. If the dentistry was well done there may be no different changes to the gums. Secondly, around dental implants, there may be more food trapping; this is not unusual. If the veneers are too big or are ill fitting, the gums may bleed more often or they may be purplish. Thirdly, good oral hygiene by patients can greatly enhance the gum reaction to the dental work.

Depends: If everything is done correctly and is maintained correctly by both you and your dentist then the gums should be a healthy pink color with o soren ness or bleeding.

Maintain: As long as you maintain good oral hygiene and see a dentist at least every 6 months, the veneers an implants should last a very long time.

Firm and healthy: The gums should be firm and healthy if the implant is positioned properly, if the veneers are fit and contoured well, and if proper hygiene is performed!

Possibly nothing: With great oral hygiene and regular dental visits, your gums may remain healthy and the same as they are now.
