Aphthasol (amlexanox): Talk to your dentist about this product. 'aphthasol' is the brand name for an oral, Amlexanox oral paste, 5%. It tastes like a mud patch, but has been known to provide great relief during outbreaks. It can only be ordered thru specific dental suppliers- so pharmacies will not carry this product. Anti-fungal mouth rinses work, but can take upto 10 days to work- essentially the duration of ulcer.
