Try Zilactin B, : An over the counter medication found in pharmacies. Dry area, apply thin layer, let it dry and turn white. Your dentist can prescribe a steroid in a delivery vehicle called orabase. Rx for that! avoid toothpaste with sodium lauryl sulfate. Avoid acidic foods. Be careful brushing not to gouge tissue. Lasers work very well, hope your dentist has one. Eat right. Get sleep. Good luck!

Honey: Honey, this is as good as any medication out there. Read the article about Canker sores by Eric T. Stoopler. A Natural Remedy for Canker Sores? Medscape. Oct 16, 2014. It should help you with the pain fairly quickly,, the lesion should disappear faster as well, I never tried it myself but let us know how it works and how long it takes to heal. I hope this helps.

Canker sores: are not pleasant and can be very painful. Canker sore is the most common oral lesions. Individual ulcers typically last 1-2 weeks. The condition is idiopathic (the cause is not known) and recurrent aphthous ulcers are usually self-limiting. Your dentist may prescribe an antimicrobial mouth rinse corticosteroid ointment to control the pain and irritation.
