Maybe...: Probably not more, just different. You may find the book "an adult child's guide to what's 'normal' " helpful. Also, al-anon, codependents anonymous and other support groups can help. You may also want to seek the help of a therapist who specializes in addiction, codependency and anxiety.

When children are: Living with a parent who suffers form alcohol or drug addiction, they r anxious. They do not know when their parent will b sober or under the influence. They try 2avoid them if they r not sober 2avoid being harmed. It is impossible 2 avoid anxiety in this kind of situation. If u know a parent suffering from an addiction do what u can 2 get them help, it will help the children too.
