I need a med that helps for social anxiety.a med i can take daily that isnt a benzo cuz im a recovering alcoholic. what med would u recommend?i was thinking luvox (fluvoxamine)?would that help?

Serotonin reuptake : Most of the serotonin reuptake inhibitors are very helpful for anxiety as well. I have found Lexapro to be very effective. There is another medicine called Buspar (buspirone) that also works for anxiety and may be beneficial. Talk to your doctor about which one would be best for you.
