A member asked:

How long is it supposed to it take for a cold to go away on antibiotics?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

5-7 days: Most colds settle down within 5-7 days with or without antibiotics. In fact antibiotics are not advised for a head cold...So avoid using them because the cold is caused by a virus which is not affected by your use of antibiotics.
