About 7 hours apart: For oral antibiotics, 3 times a day usually means about 7 to 8 hours apart. An example would be 7:00am, 2:00pm, and 9:00pm.

8 hours?: Generally most antibiotics are taken one hour before food or two hours after food; some are taken with food. You do not need to get up in the middle of the night to take the antibiotic; morning , afternoon and before bed is fine. Please check with your md to be sure which foods to avoid or if yours should be taken with food.
