Avoid fat and sugar: Stick with lean protein after workouts if trying to lose weight. Carbs like sweet potatoes or berries can also be a good post workout choice, but not too much if weight loss is your goal. Lean protein and veggies in any combination you like works well. If going the supplement route, then stick with whey protein rather than soy and watch for added sugars in powders, bars, and shakes.
