A member asked:

Is there an inner depression that people can have?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes: If you mean depression that does not seem to be related to what is going on around you, then, yes. It may be a biological or genetically inherited depression. It can be treated with medication and therapy depending on its severity and cause and how long you have had it. Other things can cause depression or make it worse, also. See a psychologist or psychiatrist for an evaluation.
