A member asked:

Can you end up with a massive infection in front of your brain without having a fever or other symptoms?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Not uncommon: With brain infections that are localized and sealed off in an abscess, often times there is no fever. This is because the infection is being sealed off by the wall of the abscess and not reaching the blood to trigger the fever. It is not uncommon.
