What can be done about an ear ache?

Depends: First you need to find what is causing the discomfort. It may be from an ear infection in the canal or middle ear requiring antibiotics. Or maybe from referred pain from teeth, tmj, tongue, tonsil areas requiring different treatment. Try Motrin first but if still persisting have someone do a good head and neck exam to find the cause.
