It would be better to wait until your cold/sinus infection has cleared up. One possible cause of such symptoms is adenovirus, which can infect the urethra -- which is harmless but can be quite painful for several days. Adenovirus following oral sex causes up to 5% of nongonococcal urethritis (NGU). It isn't known if other respiratory viruses can do the same thing, but it is possible.
