Does my baby making noises mean she will start talking soon?

Speech : Babies develop speech in a fairly predictable manner. Most start with ooh and aah sounds by 2-3 months, progress to babbles and squeals by 6- 8 months, then more imitation and consonant combinations by 10-12 months. Many 12 mo olds have a few "real" words. As toddlers, they will start to comprehend a lot of words and use single words with meaning.

Maybe: Baby's making their cute little noises is one of the best parts of being a parent and pediatrician. Children develop communication skills in various stages being with cooing and developing into full command of the language. Most infants begin to utter their first words around 6 or 7 months of age beginning with very simple words and sounds.
