See below: Most infants are cooing by 2 to 4 months of age. They will then start with consonant sounds around 6 months of age. They maybe saying mama or dada, non-specifically, at 9 months of age. And, using mama and dada, correctly, and saying about 3 words or meaningful sounds. There is a lot of variability in development. And, any concerns should be discussed.
