3 yr old's immunity: Young children are more susceptible to infections as immune systems are developing. Avoiding excess exposure to viruses helps. Allergic kids tend to take longer to develop their immune systems, and avoiding irritant allergens for these kids can help. Immunizations strengthen specific immunity to the vaccine given. Unless serious infections occur time will help as the immune system matures.
