Does getting an ear infection makes you more prone to get more?

Possibly: The causes of ear infections vary by the age of the person. Small children have tight anatomy and are much more prone to repeat infections, while adults without underlying pathology are less likely to worry about that. If an adult had ear problems all their lives, then yes.
