It has lower estrogen (so less clot risk, but not as good for your bones) Both Yaz (drospirenone and ethinyl estradiol) and Yasmin have a diuretic effect because of the progesterone. So watch out if you have kidney disease or a family history of kidney disease. Because it had fewer placebo days, women like that. Ask your doctor what is best for you.
